Sentra Onderdil Pondok Cabe (Cinangka) 

Letaknya di samping selatan Jakarta, juga telah masuk Tangerang, Jawa Barat. Tak hanya sentra onderdil serta aksesories banyak juga showroom mobil sisa ditempat ini. Letaknya tidak cuma terpusat dalam satu lokasi, namun juga terdapat banyak ruko di tepi jalan raya. 

Pasar Mobil Kemayoran 

Telah banyak di kenal di Ibukota. Ada beragam pilihan ondedil serta aksesoris mobil baru ataupun sisa. Lokasinya cukup luas hingga dapat memperbandingkan harga toko satu dengan yang lain. 

MGK Mall Glodok Kemayoran 

Lokasinya bersebrangan dengan Pasar Mobil Kemayoran. Seperti penambahan atau pelengkap sentra aksesories di Jakarta Pusat. Beragam keperluan mobil ada di lantai 5 serta 6 dimulai dari aksesories hingga perawatan berkala. Sebatas ubah oli atau beli aki sisa dapat dikerjakan di tempat ini. 

Pusat Onderdil Atrium Plaza Senen 

Letaknya di lantai 5, Pasar Senen, Jakarta Pusat. Seluruhnya lantai dipenuhi oleh beragam pedagang aksesories serta onderdil mobil. Sayang, sering menjamurnya calo di tempat ini sering bikin customer kurang nyaman.

Terdapat di jantung BSD City, Serpong, Jawa Barat. Pusat onderdil banyak tawarkan product audio dari beragam jenis merk. Ada juga yang tawarkan onderdil atau aksesori lain, namun relatif minim jumlahnya. Juga ada bengkel umum untuk sebatas perbaikan serta perawatan mudah. 

BSD Autoparts 

Posisinya bersebelahan dengan Sentra onderdil BSD dipisahkan oleh SPBU. Pilihan di tempat ini tambah lebih bermacam, tak konsentrasi pada audio saja. Customer dapat menentukan serta penuhi beragam kebutuhannya. 

Pusat Aksesories Cinere 

Tempat ini relatif baru beroperasi. Letaknya di seberang gedung sisa Bioskop Dynasti (saat ini Informa), di perempatan Cinere-Gandul. Relatif tetap sepi, namun mulai menjamur beragam penjual aksesories mobil. Banyak entrepreneur yang mempunyai kios di sentra otomotif lain buka cabang di lokasi ini.

Sneak Peek of Flyslot Brabham BT44B F1

This week we heard David Brabham announce that the famous Brabham name is poised for a return as a constructor of racing cars under the banner "Project Brabham". This is certainly exciting news with the plan being to eventually re-enter Formula One as a constructor.

Flyslot has now given us a look at the prototype for their upcoming Brabham-Ford BT44B formula one racer of 1975.

This 1/32 slot car will have a conventional inline motor placement, steerable front wheels and magnet traction. The first liveries arriving at your local dealers will carry the iconic "Martini and Rossi" livery as shown on the photo of the actual racer driven by Argentine Carlos Reuteman.

As always it is difficult to predict with a reasonable degree of accuracy when new Flyslot models will be available, but I was told by a confidential source to look for the Flyslot Brabham BT44B no sooner than the end of the 1st Quarter 2015.

TRULY MAJESTIC

The ultimate French Art Deco motorcycle - the Majestic - has only gained a reputation outside France since its inclusion in the Guggenheim Museums Art of the Motorcycle exhibit in 1998, which was the first most viewers had ever seen or heard of this rare machine.  Despite the exhibits visibility, live sightings of this elusive motorcycle are rare, although I road tested one in 2010, which was enlightening - the concept of a hub-center steered motorcycle is sound, and the bike proved a civilized and intuitive ride [Ive since found this to be true with another hub-steered bike, a 1920 Ner-A-Car, but thats a story for another day].

For all their rising fame, and even an appearance last summer at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours, Majestics rarely change hands, perhaps because few of them exist, but equally likely because owners are attached to these unique machines.  The 1929 Majestic in these photos is currently for sale at Yesterdays Antique Motorcycles in Holland, and its attached to a period Bernardin sidecar, which suits it beautifully in French Racing Blue with cream accents.

Georges Roys first venture into motorcycle production was the unorthodox New Motorcycle of 1928, with a pressed steel monococque chassis, and blade-type girder forks.  The next year, Roy moved even further from the mainstream, showing a prototype of the hub-center steered Majestic at the Paris Motor Show in 1929.  The Majestic doesnt have a monococque chassis like the New Motorcycle, but uses a squarish section steel tube frame similar to an automobile, which is covered in swooping steel panels in an unbroken line from the curved front beak to the sporty abbreviated tail.

The central engine cover is removable for access and maintenance, and theres room in the engine bay f or a large motor, or even a radiator for a water-cooled machine.  Two types of chassis were built; a heavyweight for use with a Cleveland 4-cylinder engine (only one of these exists), or a sideways-mounted JAP V-twin, and light chassis for the single-cylinder Chaise engine, as seen on this machine. The petrol tank sits under the front bulkhead, and the instruments sat in a binnacle on the handlebars - in this case, a clock, speedo, and multi-position light switch.

Detail shots show the arrangement of the steering and front suspension; pillar rods allow sprung vertical movement, and the steering rod can be seen connected to the central hub by a c shaped lever. The front hub has p lenty to do, with a large bearing and brake mechanism inside.  My road test proved the steering light and the machine nimble and predictable.  It was clear the Majestic was a different breed, as the steering felt totally neutral at all speeds, and required a bit of sensitivity to understand, but that took only a few hundred yards; after that, it was easy, and terribly elegant.  I have to admit a trace of envy for the new owner of this gorgeous outfit!

Skoda Superb joins list of top safety achievers

According to the latest safety test results released by Euro NCAP, the Skoda Superb achieved 5 Stars, thanks to robust crash protection and its Autonomous Emergency Braking systems. The Superb is also equipped with crash avoidance technologies awarded under the Euro NCAP Advanced Rewards scheme such as Multi Collision Brake and Crew Protect Assist.

Among other cars tested, the Hyundai i20 supermini acheived 4 stars which is quite good for its segment, but misses out on the 5 stars due to a lack of an AEB system.

However, the Fiat Panda Cross recveived a modest 3 star rating. Production of the iconic London Taxis - the new TX4 model, has resumed at the London Taxi Company factory at Hollyhead road in Coventry, six months after the firm was rescued by the Geely Group. Geely Group Chairman Li Shufu and Business Secretary Vince Cable were present to officially start production.

Minis Superleggera Vision Concept  may not be a Paris Motor Show debut, but this is the first time weve seen this stunning all-electric roadster in the metal, having been first shown on the tony shores of Lake Comoat Villa DEste in May. While its small in stature, its still big on both presence and detail, from its overall stubby yet sleek proportions to its Union Jack taillamps, Jaguar-esque rear fin and elegant rearview mirrors.

We still dont know much more about what powers this Touring Superleggera coachbuilt showcar, as any powertrain specifics are conspicuous by their absence, but wed welcome both a pure electric version and something powered by the BMW/Mini turbocharged three-cylinder currently making the rounds in the new Mini Cooper.

Last we heard in September, any decisions on a production future for the Superleggera Vision have been tabled, with word being that a further six months of study is planned before Mini decides to greenlight or nix the project. Wed love to tell you that the fact that its here in Paris is a great sign, but we wouldnt believe us, either.
