The Altima lives Such a life.
The life of Nissans perennial bridesmaid to the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord Generally is undignified and, well say, difficult.
If youre looking for a story about redemption, this is not it. The 2016 Nissan Altima will not be a savior Among midsize sedans and will not regain glory for a segment to compact crossovers losing ground faster than Picketts Charge. At least not yet.
Rather, the 2016 Nissan Altima is a capitulation by the automaker That Theres No Point in out Camry or Accord-ing-ing Reviews the other guys. Making a mid-size sedan That no one hates water equivalent to building a car That no one likes. If you listen to Altima engineers, theres mileage in making something That Divides Rather than conquers
Exterior
My ratings start with. "Maximas look is apparent in Altimas shoulders "That observation is not Meant to Be insightful. Rather, its matter of fact. From the shoulders up, the Altimas lineage is Entirely Obvious.
For 2016, Nissans Altima completely Call refreshed the forehead and rear, comprenant un newly designed bumper and the front fa scia. Infotainment
The Altima gets the Saami 5-inch standard color display, the carried over from last year, That sports Siri Eyes Free and iPod connectivity via the cars USB single port.
Available in the SL and SV trims, and standard in the 3.5 SL, is Nissans 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and mobile apps. Nissan has added Concierge system, dubbed NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM, qui is sold separately as a subscription. Curiously, theres no dedicated button for the live-person service. Instead, its accessed through a headset icon on the touchscreen and the first prompt is not a human at all - its a voice-recognition system ask asking you what youre lookin g to do. If you ask for a certain service - "Destination Assist," for instance - the computer calls up an operator to give you, well, destination assistance. Thats confusing. Nissan May want to look into That.
Aside from getting access to a real person, both, the 5- and 7-inch infotainment systems are straightforward and simple, ALTHOUGH Somewhat dated at this spot.
Less exciting, aim more importantly, is Nissans inclusion of advanced safety features Such as forward collision warning and emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and radar-based blind-spot monitoring (last years release Was rear camera-based That did not work so Was hot if the camera covered in snow)
Powertrain
Ill keep this short.. nothing has changed
